UCLA SCHOLARSHIP

27 November 2017
Gymnasium

At the Zwi-Perez-Chajes school there is a scholarship for students who meet certain criteria which allows them to spend a summer at one of the biggest Colleges in all of America: UCLA. As a scholarship-winner last year I was able to partake in this adventure, as I might call it, and I have to say that it was the best summer of my life. Everything from travelling there to living in the university-dorms and going on a trip to the beach almost every day after class with the friends that I made was all I could have wished for. Having two classes everyday where I had to learn Sociology and „Business of Filmmaking“ was , contrary to popular belief, more interesting than annoying even if I had to wake up at 9 a.m. almost every morning throughout the summer. Of course there were more trips than only the ones to the beach as we would have the chance between 4 different trips that we could sign up for every day yet there is something magnifying about the beach in Los Angeles that makes you want to spend every evening there. In addition to all of these great trips I would have to say that one of the biggest luxuries was having a personal cook prepare my food (to my liking) every meal of the day which is a lot more amazing than it sounds believe me. As this is very public, I would like to thank everyone who made this experience possible since there is so much to be thankfull for.
